My Favorite Poems 2

Dolphins

We see dolphins jump out of the sea,

It's graceful eyes looking at me.

Then appears a bright, orange sky,

But the dolphins keep jumping by and by.

Soon, more dolphins come out to play,

It seems like they are doing ballet.

Then the dolphins jump into the night,

I hope we will soon see that beautiful sight.

How it all Began

Today is Christmas, it brings much joy,
When you may find a little toy.
But remember, though, how it all began,
And if youre having trouble, I'll give you a hand.

2,000 years ago in a manger bed,
Lied a baby boy, who lay down his head.
His name was Jesus, we all should know,
He was born so very long ago.

An angel appeared to the shepherds that night,
They all ran around in awe and in fright.
"Do not be afraid," the angel said to them,
A child was born in Bethlehem!

So off went the shepherds following the star,
When many other people came from afar.
Three wise men came bringing Gold,
Frankincense and Myrrh is what they hold.

They followed the star into the town,
Riding their camels, tall and brown.
And soon they found the baby in the hay,
Knowing he would save the world from sin one day.

Everyone adored on that special night,
At the most amazing sight.
Jesus, Gods son, came into the world,
So an angel had come and told.

That is how Christmas came to be,
With happiness, joy and much glory.

Swimming

On a hot, summer day we go to the pool,

So jump in the water and get yourself cool.

We do a lap across the water,

But for any reason, it won't get us hotter.

We walk over to the board and slide,

Where you could do a jump or dive.

We had a lot of fun,

But not all of it is done.

So we dry off and say see you soon!

I'll meet you here tomorrow at noon!

Limericks

I ate a gummy-bear

Who had no hair

One was blue

Who had one shoe

But the red one had a pair.

I said hello

To a fellow

Who was green

And not very mean

And he was eating jello.

I want to school

And met a mule

He was fat

And on the roof he sat

And drove in his car, which had no fule.
